Use of Force Investigations
J. Douglas Parker is certified in Force Investigation Strategies & The Cognitive Interview Process. He has been investigating use of force cases since 1984. This has allowed Parker to assist attorneys in critical incident investigations where police officers have been charged with use of force in the performance of their duties. He has also seen these charges appear when private citizens have to defend themselves.
His expertise in forensically interviewing these clients has resulted in obtaining more detailed information about the incident that was not previously provided in the initial statement. A more detailed documentation of the incident has also led to officers not being charged criminally for their actions either by the investigating agency or being “no billed” in grand jury testimony.
After the many years of investigating use of force cases, Parker founded a company (Seven Eight Technologies Inc.) to develop a web based and mobile app that documents these cases. The app is a framework to draw out the information and perceptions of the person involved in the critical incident.

Criminal Investigations
Parker retired from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after 30 years of investigating numerous, serious, violent felonies that included armed robbery, aggravated assault, and child molestation. He has investigated over 200 death investigations: accidental, suicide, undetermined, natural, and murder.
